How to use CapCut
Download & install
Visit capcut.com and download the desktop or mobile app. Create a free account to sync your projects.
Start a new project
Click "New Project" and import your video clips by dragging them into the media panel.
Add AI captions
Select your video track, click "Text" then "Auto captions" to generate subtitles automatically.
Edit & enhance
Use the timeline to trim clips, add transitions, effects, and music from the built-in library.
Export your video
Click "Export" in the top right, choose your resolution (1080p is free), and download your creation.
Script to Video
Use the "Script to Video" tool to type your own text or let the AI writer generate a script based on a prompt.
Auto B-Roll
When using the script-to-video workflow, choose "Smart Generation" to have the AI search the media library and automatically add matching B-roll clips, captions, and music.
AI Avatar
Select an AI Character from the library to read your script out loud with realistic lip-syncing.
